January 26th

We went bowling today. Very random... and very fun. The kids really loved it. The pictures speak for themselves.

January 25th

Wednesday Night is AWANAS NIGHT!!

Leah with her friend, Hannah.

Sarah, next to her friend Sara, talking to others!

Joshua, right in the mix of things... he's the one that won't turn around to look at the camera! Silly boy!

January 24th

This is just a hoot. Tabitha was over by the rice cooker and saying, "I scared... it a monster." I really had no clue what she was talking about until she pointed at the rice cookers' face and she even moved "the monsters" mouth to show me how it was scary. The imagination of this child is off the charts!

Rachel made 6 half pints of Apple Streusel candles. Let me tell ya... the house smelled fantastic!

Sarah giving the family her report on "The History of Cats." Did you know that cats were considered 'demigods' in early Egypt and were worshipped? She ended that cats to this day still acted like they were demigods. HA!

Leah presenting on "The History of Horses." Her main focus was on Saddlebred horses. This child loves horses and would've researched till the cows came home (pun, intended.)!

How is this... Rachel researched on how Golden Retrievers breed. She, and everyone else, learned much about this process. We also now know what to be looking for when Precious "goes into heat."

Leah made a Peach Pie. We celebrated the completion of our research papers with pie and ice cream.

January 23rd

Sarah... always the smarty pants! She was running through the living room to put a light into her lamp... and was saying, "I have a great idea!" Silly girl.

Yes, it's true. I finally finished this. It was fun to do... but especially fun to finish. I will be all set for the Fall 2012. HA!

January 22nd

Just the beginning. Making our home feel lovely. Rachel helped me by dusting off these candles and getting them ready for us to use. It's awesome at night time!!

January 21st

I was blessed enough to go to a Whole Heart Ministries Conference. This was such a blessing to me... and will change how I parent my kids! It's SO exciting!!

Sally Clarkson and her husband are the founders of this conference. They have also written many books that have blessed us.

This is a panel of ladies that were able to share with us. It was awesome!

January 20th

Sweet Tabitha. She decided her giraffe was "bleeding" and put many band-aids on the poor thing. She wrapped him up and carried him around 1/2 the day.

January 19th

Breakfast Burritos made and ready to be frozen!

Isn't this just like God. Today was the officially the worst day in the Fadenrecht Homeschool... and just like God~ He gives me an encouragement like this out the window. Thank you Lord!

January 18th

Matthew came up to Joshua and wanted him to hold his hands. They walked around the house for an hour this way.

January 17th

Mommy was sick today... that means very little gets done. School was it.

Sarah, who always has to stand up to write her cursive letters. We aren't sure why.

Daddy got home from work and had to do some grading on that nasty Math~ that Mommy doesn't know how to do. It is what it is.

January 16th

Cherry Mash

I made Cherry Mash today. We typically make it over Christmas~ but with Eric sick... a lot of our special baking didn't happen. The cherry chips beckoned me from the pantry and we made them. YUM! These WILL RUIN all diets... let me tell ya!

January 15th

Tabitha came up to me after dinner with a ponytail holder and said, "Can you give me a 'poof-tail'?" We all laughed and laughed... and then gave her a 'poof-tail'. What a sweet little girl.

January 14th

Broncos are in the Playoffs!
Today we have done nothing but get ready for the game. All the "Saturday chores" done and baking/cooking done for the game. Yes... it's just our family watching the game~ but we are pretty serious about the Broncos!

Leah made a Bronco cake for the playoff game today. GO BRONCOS!

Of course, we had to add Tebow's number on it. It just would be right without it!

January 13th

The three youngest girls got new dresses from Land's End clearance. They looked a bit like PJ's though.

Joshua said, "Take a picture of me Mommy!" You can see in the background that Tabitha was already taking off her 'beloved' dress.

January 12th

Joshua learned how to play 'Angry Birds' today on Mommy's Ipod when we were at the doctors to see if Leah had strep throat. The boy is completely able to do it now. These kids learn A LOT quicker than their parents... just sayin'!

Working on that darn math! We'll get it... I promise!

This is what I saw when I walked into my room. Not sure what they were doing... it couldn't be good though!

January 11th

Rachel took this vibrant sunset. Wow, eh? There IS beauty in Pueblo West... we just have to look very hard for it. By the way... look at the edges of the clouds and how you can see tinges of orange/pink on them.

Our Tabitha was sick with a stomach bug on this day. She feel asleep... poor little baby!

January 10th

Matthew was a bit dirty~ so Leah decided that he needed a rinse. Leah yelled at me, "Hey Mom! I have your picture for the day!" I have many helpers with this Picture a Day thing!

January 9th

I should have prefaced this blog that there were no children harmed in the making of this blog... we just like to laugh~ and we encourage our kids to make each other laugh. This is one of those instances.

Rachel had the night-time duty of brushing Tabitha's teeth. Taffy decided she didn't want to come to the bathroom~ so big sister came to her. Poor Taffy! ;)

January 8th

Matthew did not take a nap today and fell asleep at supper. Eric took this picture after laughing a bit!

January 7th

Rachel came in the front door and told us all to come see the mountains. Wow! It was gorgeous this morning! Rachel took this picture.

The boys were actually playing nicely this morning. It doesn't happen often~ so I got a picture. They usually are bulldozing each other.

January 6th!

Eric and I went down to Trinidad in the afternoon to copy Matthew's chart. We brought "the boys" only. They sure didn't love the drive (either way!) and loved running around the Social Services office. We got to meet some of the other Social Workers~ other than Michelle that we so love. These are such precious ladies who are taking care of some kids that really need help. Praise the Lord that there are people like this that will do the "uncomfortable stuff."

"The boys" with all of the social workers in Las Animas County.

Yes, we encourage this behavior! We got home in time for FAMILY NIGHT! Lots of pizza and game time! Matthew, on his own accord got the helmet and started to run into the furniture. Funny boy!

The whole family had to watch Matthew.

Matthew's nighttime rountine is to drink a bottle in Mommy and Daddy's bed and watch TV. He gradually falls asleep and we put him in his crib.

January 5th

Tabitha got bangs today! She came home and put a frilly skirt on and told Rachel to put a flower in her hair. She walked around the house then saying, "I a princess." Too stinkin' cute. I was taking some pictures and then Matthew decided he wanted to see what the big deal was.

"Peek A Boo!"

I turned around and saw Joshua with his car carrier. He loves this thing that my brother gave him! He plays with it for HOURS! He will drive the car carrier around the house and "pick up" cars (that he has very specifically left around the house) and then drive them all "to Mexico." What a hoot! I love having a boy!

Starting to fill the car carrier up.

January 4th

I saw a superb sunset out our back door. I headed out there to take a picture... got run over by the dog... & took the picture.

Sunset out on our back porch. So glad we live "on the edge of nowhere!"

I came back inside and saw my sweet Matthew eating a sandwich (he LOVES them!)... and had to take some pictures!!

Matthew eating his beloved sandwiches. Miracle Whip or Mayo... he says Miracle Whip!
